Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. registered remarkable numbers in the postseason to push the AL East team on the brink of a first World Series title in more than three decades.
However, Guerrero Jr.'s season ended with a heartbreaking 5-4 loss in Game 7 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Although the All-Star first baseman failed in his pursuit of a first World Series ring, he got a hero's welcome in the Dominican Republic.
Guerrero's wife, Nathalie, shared a glimpse of the parade in honor of the Blue Jays infielder, who signed a $500 million deal with the franchise earlier this year.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. loses out to Athletics rookie in Silver Slugger voting
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. slashed .292/381/.467 with an .848 OPS and 23 home runs. While the Blue Jays slugger didn't set the league on fire with his regular-season numbers, he was the best hitter in the postseason.
Guerrero Jr. batted .397 in the postseason, hitting eight home runs and recording 15 RBIs. He was named the ALCS MVP for his heroics against the Seattle Mariners.
While he had a remarkable postseason, Guerrero Jr. fell short against Athletics rookie Nick Kurtz in the Silver Slugger race. Kurtz, who had a breakout rookie season, slashed .290/.383/.619 with a 173 OPS+ and 36 home runs.
Kurtz became the first rookie first baseman to win the award since Jose Abreu in 2014. Kurtz is also believed to be the front-runner for the AL Rookie of the Year award.
Guerrero Jr. was looking for his second consecutive award, having won the Silver Slugger twice in his career.
