WWE legend Rey Mysterio encouraged fans to scream expletives at his son, Dominik Mysterio, during the AAA Guerra de Titanes 2025. The Mexican wrestling promotion was purchased by the Stamford-based promotion earlier this year, so it is now a part of the WWE Universe.
At AAA Guerra de Titanes, Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano were supposed to lock horns with Rey Fenix and Penta in a Tag Team Match. However, after the former AEW star got injured last month, he was replaced by WWE legend Rey Mysterio. All of the stars involved in the bout put on an incredible display of action inside the ring, and for the most part, it was a back-and-forth affair.
At one point in the match, Rey Mysterio was tagged in by Rey Fenix when Dominik Mysterio was the legal man inside the ring. However, before the Hall of Famer could lay hands on his son, Dirty Dom left the ring. Fans then got frustrated with Dominik's antics and started abusing the current Intercontinental Champion in Spanish, calling him a "P*to." The Master of 619 also encouraged fans to keep chanting the word at his son.

WWE legend John Cena had some huge praise for Rey Mysterio
Before his in-ring retirement on December 13, 2025, John Cena sat with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT for an interview. During the conversation, the host asked Cena to describe his wrestling peers in one word.
When asked about Rey Mysterio, the 17-time World Champion called the legend his "mentor." Cena added that The Master of 619 allowed him to be a part of his family in WWE.
"A mentor, and someone who allowed me to be a part of their family when they didn’t need to," Cena said. After John Cena's in-ring retirement, many believe Rey Mysterio could hang up his wrestling boots soon. It will be interesting to see what the Triple H-led creative team has planned for the Hall of Famer's future.
