A popular AEW star has been absent from TV for the past couple of months. New details have come to light regarding her status in the company.
Kamille made her AEW debut on July 24, 2024, and quickly aligned herself with Mercedes Mone by attacking Britt Baker. For the next few months, Kamille stood by the CEO's side as her bodyguard. However, tensions quickly rose between Mone and her bodyguard. On November 27, 2024, episode of Dynamite, Mercedes was about to fire Kamille when the latter decided to quit instead. It looked at the time like the company was building to a feud between the two women, but nothing materialized, and she has been seen on TV for the past year.
During a recent Fightful Select Q&A session, Sean Ross Sapp was asked whether Kamille will ever be seen in AEW again. Sean responded that she is still under contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion, but her name wasn't brought up during creative meetings. While the reason behind her absence is still unknown, AEW felt her pairing with Mercedes Mone wasn't working. He also reported that Kamille filmed two seasons of American Gladiators earlier this year.
AEW star Kamille pointed out her post-retirement plan
Kamille was one of the biggest names in women's wrestling when she signed with All Elite Wrestling. However, her run with the Jacksonville-based promotion hasn't gone according to plan. She is now fast approaching the tail end of her career. Hence, she has already given her post-retirement plan some thought.
Kamille recently took to social media to say that she wants to be a scout after her in-ring career is over.
"When my in-ring career is over I need to definitely be a talent scout because I have called so many talent being huge stars in my head and they have always panned out. You can’t teach IT," she wrote.Check out her tweet here:
