Tyreek Hill teases possible reunion with Chiefs after Dolphins releease

Could a reunion between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tyreek Hill be in the cards this offseason?

We can't say for sure, but Hill, who was cut loose by the Miami Dolphins earlier this week, is at least teasing the possibility of that happening.

In a recent post to his Snapchat, Hill posted a photo of himself with a Kansas City geotag, which means he was in town. A profile photo in the top left of the post featured Hill in his Chiefs uniform, also.

Hill has made it no secret that he would like to return to Kansas City.

In a cryptic post on social media in January, Hill said he would like "to go home," which many took as a clear message he wants a reunion with the Chiefs.

"Since we putting in request I want to go home," Hill said on X.

On paper, a reunion between the Chiefs and Hill makes sense, as Kansas City needs more firepower at wide receiver.

However, there could be multiple roadblocks that present that from happening.

Hill is coming off a season in which he suffered a dislocated knee and multiple torn ligaments, including his ACL. As a result, there are doubts about Hill being able to play at all in 2026.

He's also going to be 32 years old on March 1, so there's no telling what Hill will have left in the tank when he does get healthy.

Then there's the off-the-field stuff.

Hill is being investigated by the NFL over domestic violence allegations from his estranged wife and if the league finds wrongdoing, Hill will face a suspension.

While it's fun to think about a Hill-Chiefs reunion, Kansas City should avoid it.

The Chiefs don't have a win-now roster and need to go through a transition year or two in order to get their financial house in order and get younger. Bringing in a 32-year-old wide receiver doesn't exactly fit what the Chiefs need right now.
