The men's hockey semifinals at the 2026 Winter Olympics will be set Wednesday with quarterfinal action on tap throughout the day.
Tuesday's qualification playoff games saw the higher seed prevail across the board, leaving the top eight teams from the preliminary round to battle it out for semifinal berths.
Top seed Canada will face No. 8 Czechia, which survived the only competitive qualification game with a 3-2 win over Denmark. Despite the seeding, Team USA figures to have a much more challenging quarterfinal against No. 7 seed Sweden, which blew out Latvia 5-1.
The other two quarters will see No. 3 Slovakia in a potentially tricky matchup with No. 6 Germany and No. 4 Finland meet No. 5 Switzerland.
