Thoughts and Prayers to WWE star Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio has had a rough few months after being sidelined ahead of WrestleMania 41 and only recently being able to make his return to the ring.

The Mysterio family has been through a tough time on-screen as well, with Dominik and his father still at odds, with the duo coming to blows on WWE RAW several weeks ago.

Following AAA's latest event, Rey Mysterio shared the heartbreaking update that it was a year since his Uncle, Rey Misterio Sr had passed away.

Mysterio was close to his Uncle, who was known as Rey Misterio Sr throughout his career and went on to continue his legacy as Rey Mysterio Jr for much of his own career.

What's next for Rey Mysterio in WWE?

Following the success of John Cena's retirement tour, there has been a lot of talk of Mysterio's potential retirement and that it could be tilted towards Dominik Mysterio, after there was speculation surrounding a Hair vs Mask match.

The two men have already reignited their feud in recent months, so it wouldn't be a shock to see Mysterio and his son back amongst it in the future.

That being said, it's unclear if Mysterio is ready to walk away from his career just yet. He has been a part of the wrestling business for more than three decades and could be prepared to push on for as long as his body will allow him too, which means that there may be a few more years for him at the highest level.
