Thomas Frank unconvinced by Tottenham's £60m star as January exit looms

3 hours ago 2

Thomas Frank has grown frustrated with his attacking options at Tottenham following a difficult run of form in the last few matches.

The Europa League winners have only collected a victory from their last five matches across all competitions under the Danish manager and recently fell 2-1 to Aston Villa in gameweek eight despite Joao Palhinha and Rodrigo Bentancur combining for the opening goal before Morgan Rogers and Emiliano Buendia turned the match around for the hosts.

Frank's side then needed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to rescue a 0-0 Champions League draw against Monaco in midweek as the attack failed to produce anything.

The attacking struggles have left the Tottenham boss searching for solutions ahead of Sunday's clash with Everton at home.

He recently underwent ankle surgery and is likely to remain sidelined until next month after struggling with persistent fitness problems throughout the campaign.

He has not featured since Tottenham's 2-0 victory over Manchester City on August 23 and according to some reports, Frank wants to bring in a new striker during the January transfer window.
