“That guy is the real deal” - Denis Puric has nothing but high praise for former conqueror Jaosuayai

'The Bosnian Menace' Denis Puric is the type to give credit where it's due. The veteran warrior from Bosnia and Canada raved about Jaosuayai Sor Dechapan, praising the Thai for his immense talents and high ceiling.

The 24-year-old firecracker proved he is among the elite when he dominated Puric at ONE Friday Fights 100 in March.

Jaosuayai beat the 40-year-old veteran at his own game, aggressively pushing forward and finishing him off violently in Round 2.

Rather than making excuses, Puric has nothing but respect for the man who handed him defeat.

The Soi Dogs MMA affiliate sang praises of his tormentor in an interview with the South China Morning Post (SCMP):

"That guy is the real deal. Jaosuayai is going to be a problem in the coming years in Muay Thai, for sure. Especially in ONE if they keep him, if they give him that. Did he get the contract yet? I think he got the contract when he beat me."

Puric continued:

“I have high hopes for that guy. When we fight, you have an opponent, but we're not enemies. I respect each and every fighter. But Jaosuayai is special, and he's young. 23-24, he's got nothing but time."

Denis Puric ready for Takeru's best weapons

Looking to bounce back from his loss to Jaosuayai, Denis Puric will seek redemption at ONE 173 against Japan's own Takeru Segawa on Nov. 16.

'The Bosnian Menace' understands that beating 'Natural Born Krusher' in front of his hometown fans at Ariake Arena will be easier said than done.

In the same SCMP interview, the 40-year-old veteran shared what he needs to watch out for the most:

“He’s got the body toe stab that he always does, and then he does the calf kicks. But like I said, those are the only two things that he’s got that he can use against me.”
