The Cincinnati Bengals lost 39-38 to the New York Jets, giving Aaron Glenn his first win of his head coaching tenure. Amid the loss, the Bengals saw Joe Flacco head back into the locker room, and he's now questionable for Week 9.
After such a brutal loss, the Bengals becoming sellers wouldn't be the most surprising thing. If they view the season as over, then trading away some veterans makes the most sense.
However, according to ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the Bengals aren't in such a mindset, and regarding Trey Hendrickson, they still have no plans to move him despite their embarrassing loss to the Jets.
Bengals still not planning to trade Trey Hendrickson despite trade speculation
"Up to this point, the Bengals have rebuffed trade inquiries," Fowler reports, "and sources have maintained that Cincinnati has no plans to trade Hendrickson right now."
While teams like the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers, among others, would love to acquire Hendrickson, the Bengals have no intention to move on from their All-Pro pass rusher.
At 3-5, the Bengals are still in the AFC North division race. The Pittsburgh Steelers have struggled, and if the Bengals can bounce back with a win in Week 9, their chances of making a trade are a lot slimmer.
However, a Week 9 loss to the Chicago Bears could make for an interesting opportunity. At 3-6, and if the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens win, the Bengals' playoff hopes would look a bit more bleak than normal.

Hendrickson is questionable for Week 9 after sustaining a hip injury in the loss to the Jets, which would further complicate any trade talks.
But, with Hendrickson a free agent after 2025, the Bengals could move on from him for a strong return. But, as Fowler reports, such a scenario isn't in the cards right now.
Things could change with a rough Week 9, and a strong offer that's hard to refuse. But for now, the Bengals are likely to hold onto Hendrickson despite plenty of interest from around the NFL, and Cincinnati's losing record through eight weeks.
