Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby reportedly stormed out of the team facility after being told he would be shut down for the final two games of the season. According to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer, the Raiders made the decision due to Crosby’s lingering injuries and the team’s position in the 2026 NFL Draft race. Crosby disagreed and left the building.

"No chance you shut me down if I want to play. I respect he understands you sign up for 17 games off the jump! Give the PEOPLE what they want… HIM during a miserable year!!" a fan said.

Here are some more reactions from fans.

"maxx crosby you are a chicago bear my good sir," a fan said. "The only people who are conceiving the idea of 'his future in Vegas' are the media who are setting up for more ratings content. God forbid the team showing prudence and preservation over their star players," another fan said. "If the Bears give up 2 first round picks for Crosby I’ll think I’ll have to lift the troll ban I placed on myself after all I’ve heard this year regarding Parsons! I’ll be block worth my if I’m not already lol," a fan said.

In 15 games, Maxx Crosby has 73 combined tackles (45 solo), 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception and six passes defended under his belt. He also recorded 28 tackles for loss while playing most of the season despite knee issues.

Pete Carroll responds to Maxx Crosby’s exit amid Raiders’ struggles

Las Vegas Raiders coach Pete Carroll addressed reports surrounding Maxx Crosby’s frustration after the team decided to shut him down for the final games against the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs.

"He knows that he's banged up, so he's talking about, 'I'd like to get out of here.' And I said, 'Yeah, get out of here.' So, he took off." Carroll said. "This didn't just spring on him. We have been talking about it, and it was exactly what you would think he would do, and he should do. I agree with him 1,000 percent on how he responded, and I (would have) responded the same way."

The Raiders have won only two games this season, against the Patriots in Week 1 and Titans in Week 6. With two games left, Las Vegas is positioned for a potential No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The team faces major needs at quarterback, wide receiver, and on defense.
