The Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings lock horns for the first time this season on Saturday at the Golden 1 Center. The Mavericks enter this clash with a 12-20 record, while the Kings are 7-23.

After a promising 5-1 run, Dallas slipped to a 2-4 stretch following Thursday's 126-116 loss against the Golden State Warriors. Anthony Davis left the game after 11 minutes with a groin strain and didn't return, just as the Mavericks started to regain momentum with an 8-0 run.

Golden State answered with an 8-2 run from the point, and the Mavericks played catch-up the rest of the way. Cooper Flagg had another dominant game with 27 points, six rebounds, five assists and one block on 13 of 21 shots. Brandon Williams had 26 off the bench on 9 of 12 shots.

On the other hand, the Kings have yet to find any rhythm. Their wait for consecutive wins since Nov. 24 continued on Tuesday after they failed to beat the Detroit Pistons, losing 136-127. A game before that, Sacramento caused an upset against Houston with a 125-124 overtime result.

Dallas Mavericks starting lineup and depth chart

The Dallas Mavericks have multiple injury concerns ahead of this clash. Anthony Davis is questionable and Brandon Williams is doubtful, which could impact their rotations.

Ryan Nembhard and Naji Marshall should retain their places in the backcourt, while Cooper Flagg and P.J. Washington will be the forwards. Anthony Davis will start at center if available. Daniel Gafford will replace Davis if he's unavailable.

Brandon Williams will likely sit out, which could open minutes for D'Angelo Russell or Jaden Hardy.
