Sydney Taylor delivered the biggest shot of her young WNBA career, lifting the Chicago Sky to a dramatic 84-83 win over the Las Vegas Aces. The Chicago Sky needed something special to finish off one of the WNBA’s best teams.
Taylor gave them exactly that.
With Chicago trailing 83-81 on its final possession Saturday, the rookie guard buried a 3-pointer from the corner to give the Sky a stunning one-point victory at Wintrust Arena.
The shot came in the final second, but Taylor released it comfortably before the horn. No dramatic replay confirmation was needed. The ball ripped through the net, the buzzer sounded moments later and the Sky immediately erupted in celebration.
Yahoo Sports shared the incredible finish on X with the perfect four-word reaction: “SYDNEY TAYLOR IS COLD.” The description was more than appropriate.
