As Dak Prescott knows, Skip Bayless is as big a Dallas Cowboys fan as anyone. Perhaps the most elite Cowboys fan in the country, Bayless has been able to kick his feet up on holidays to watch his team dominate. Whether it's Thanksgiving or Christmas, Bayless gets his way even in disappointing seasons. That was the case again early on Christmas when Dallas scored via a Jake Ferguson touchdown.
Bayless fired off two quick posts on X to react to the early score, predicting one of the biggest blowouts of the year. Bayless predicted the Cowboys to win 40-0 before tempering expectations slightly, expecting a 40-3 final score.

"Make that 40-3," he added.Ferguson's touchdown was the tight end's first since Nov. 17. With Ryan Flournoy out for the contest, Prescott went with the tight end, surprising fantasy football experts around the country.
Heading into Week 17, Ferguson had earned 589 yards and seven touchdowns. Chalk up another for the tight end.
The Washington Commanders entered the contest missing not just its first-string quarterback but its second-string quarterback as well. Washington shut down Jayden Daniels for the remainder of the season in a bid to get him back to full health for 2026 and avoid any extra risk. Marcus Mariota also missed the contest with hand and quad injuries.
Dak Prescott's win percentage salvageable heading into Week 17
Dak Prescott at Dallas Cowboys v Washington Commanders - NFL 2025 - Source: GettyWhile it hasn't been the best season for the Dallas Cowboys quarterback in terms of wins and losses, one pivotal benchmark remains alive. The quarterback can finish over .500 with two wins in the final two games against the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants.
Thanks to the tie against the Green Bay Packers, Dak Prescott can finish 8-8 and finish over .500 due to the tie, as it bumps up the winning percentage. The odds appear to be on his side as well, with the Cowboys quarterback set to face the two-win New York Giants.
The Giants are operating without Brian Daboll in a lost season without Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo.
Of course, with every win comes a hit in the draft order. With Dak Prescott's team outside of the hunt, some fans are displeased with the prospect of making things harder in April on Jerry Jones. Jones has been outspoken about not losing on purpose, and his team backed it up on Christmas.
