What Cowboys' Week 17 win means for Dallas' own 2026 first-round draft pick

1 hour ago 2

The Dallas Cowboys secured their seventh victory of the 2025 campaign on Thursday by defeating the Washington Commanders.

Of course, the Cowboys had nothing to play for going into the game after Dallas was eliminated from playoff contention last week.

Knowing that, our attention now turns to where the Cowboys land in the 2026 NFL draft order. Dallas has not one but two first-round picks, one of which came over in the trade with the Green Bay Packers that involved linebacker Micah Parsons.

Now that the Cowboys have secured the victory over Washington in Week 17, here's what that means for Dallas' own first-round pick in 2026.

Cowboys 2026 NFL draft order

The Cowboys fall to No. 16 in the draft order going into this weekend's games, per Tankathon. That's three spots lower than where they entered this week.

The good news is, Dallas cannot move back any further, no matter what happens on Saturday and Sunday. Adding to that, the Commanders can move up back to their initial No. 13 spot depending on how things unfold over the next few days.

Dallas can jump the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings and/or the Baltimore Ravens if their Week 17 games.

As for the Cowboys' first-round pick from the Parsons trade with the Packers, that selection sits in the No. 21 spot in the order going into Saturday. The Packers face the Ravens this week.
