Chelsea fans on X (formerly Twitter) slammed Arsenal forward Noni Madueke after he appeared to suggest the Gunners were 'much better' with a social media post. The Englishman joined Mikel Arteta's side earlier this summer from Chelsea for a reported transfer fee of £48.5 million.

Before Noni Madueke joined the north London club, Arsenal fans reportedly started an online petition to stop the Gunners from signing the 23-year-old. However, impressed by his ability to play on both wings, they signed the English forward to a five-year deal.

Since arriving in north London, the Englishman has made six appearances, without scoring a goal or providing an assist. Meanwhile, he has missed more than ten matches due to a knee injury he sustained during the Gunners' 1-1 draw against Manchester City in September.

While Madueke's efforts have failed to produce numbers, Mikel Arteta has been impressed by his performance. The 23-year-old is expected to make his return for Arsenal soon, and amid the speculations, he uploaded a picture of himself in the north London club's jersey on social media with the caption:

"Much better"

Under the post, fans of Madueke's former club, Chelsea, compared the English forward to the Blues' new signing, Estevao. One commented:

"Saw Estevao and ran away."

Another tweeted while uploading the Brazilian forward's picture:

"The better number 20."

Another fan claimed that the Blues were better than the Gunners. He commented:

"You know London is blue, bro."

A fan didn't hesitate to call the 23-year-old a flop. He wrote:

"looooool mate didn't anyone tell you that the Chelsea-to-Arsenal pipeline is a reject/flop only pipeline?"

Since joining Chelsea, Estevao has scored four goals and provided one assist in 16 appearances.

Chelsea star to miss Premier League clash against Arsenal

Chelsea's Cole Palmer is set to miss the Blues' Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday, November 30. After spending two months on the sidelines due to a groin injury, Palmer was expected to return to training this week.

However, the Englishman reportedly fractured his toe after stubbing it on a door at home on November 19. He will this be out of action for some more time. Enzo Maresca said about Palmer's injury in a recent press conference (via BBC):

"He is probably not available for Saturday for sure, Barcelona for sure or Arsenal for sure. Unfortunately, he had an accident at home where he hit his toe. It is nothing importance, but he won't be back in the next week.""I wake to many times during the night - I hit my head, my legs, my everything - so it can happen," he added.

Palmer will miss the Blues' next three fixtures in all competitions. The Englishman last played during the west London club's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in September.
