"Pure perfection"- BTS' Jin sets the internet ablaze with flawless visuals in SPUR January Issue, causing a sell out

BTS member Jin appears in the January issue and extended edition of the Japanese fashion and lifestyle magazine SPUR as the ambassador of the jewellery brand FRED. The issue officially went on sale on November 21, 2025. Alongside the release, on the day, the magazine also unveiled additional photos from the photoshoot that were not included in the printed edition.

Ahead of its launch, SPUR announced on November 19 that both the regular and special editions were already out of stock at several online bookstores. The magazine stated that restocks were planned but advised readers to purchase from nearby bookstores upon release, noting that online inventory may continue to fluctuate.

On November 20, the magazine also released behind-the-scenes footage from the photoshoot. In the released photos from Jin’s SPUR magazine shoot the BTS' eldest appear in a range of outfits and styling choices. One image features him in a white turtleneck paired with wide-leg white trousers, completed with silver accessories including a bracelet and necklace from FRED.

In another shot, he wears the same white turtleneck and trousers but adds a white coat, switching to gold jewelry with a gold necklace and matching bracelet from FRED. In the third look, he is also seen in an all-black look. He wore a deep-neck black shirt and black trousers and styled it with layered silver necklaces and two matching silver bracelets.

Another photograph presents him in a deep brown shirt and brown trousers with a white tank top worn underneath. He accessorizes this look with a mix of silver and dark-toned pieces, including a long black necklace, a silver-and-black bracelet, and rings. In another photo with the same outfit he replaces the darker jewelry with simpler silver rings and silver ear cuffs. In another more casual appearance, the singer wears a grey hoodie layered over a white tank top, styled with silver rings from FRED to complete the look.

Following the publication of these photos and the behind-the-scenes, fans took to social media to share their reactions. Flooding platforms like X they highlighted the singer’s visuals showcased in the shoot. One fan noted,

Many expressed amazement at his appearance, calling the pictorial one of his most striking in recent months. Some compared his appearance to a character straight out of a K-drama.

Jin reflects on his solo tour, upcoming BTS album and his journey with fred jewelry

Alongside the photoshoot, Jin appeared in an interview with SPUR magazine released on November 21. He looked back on his solo concert series, RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, which wrapped up in November 2025 after traveling through five countries. Jin admitted he was initially unsure about performing without the other BTS members, but the overwhelming support from fans quickly eased his worries and made the experience enjoyable.

He also shared that performing alone gave him more creative freedom, though it sometimes felt lonely. The tour reminded him of how important the other members are to him. He fondly recalled moments with fans, including their spot-on food suggestions during his stop in Japan. Discussing BTS’ upcoming album, the singer said he was genuinely impressed by the the songs the members worked on.

“While the band members were working on new songs in the US, I joined them a little late due to a solo tour. I listened to the songs they had created while I was away and was deeply impressed by their level of completion and artistic quality. When I met the band members again and listened to their music, I was reminded once again of how amazing these people are.” he added.

The interview also highlighted the first anniversary of his role as FRED’s global ambassador. Jin revealed that he initially questioned whether he fit the image of a luxury jewelry brand, but the company encouraged him to bring his individuality into the collaboration. The idol shared that, over the past year, he grew attached to FRED’s aesthetic and now considered jewelry a natural part of his daily style.
