Ronda Rousey has not wrestled for nearly two years, but she's dealing with a few health issues due to her career in mixed martial arts and pro wrestling. "Rowdy" recently shared an update on some of the injuries she's still coping with in her daily life.

Rousey was a world-class judoka, winning a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She then transitioned into MMA in 2010 and became one of the biggest stars of the sport in the UFC before retiring in 2016.

The UFC Hall of Famer then officially joined the WWE in 2018, having two stints with the company before departing in October 2023. Her last match was a tag team match, teaming up with Marina Shafir and beating Athena and Billie Starkz in Ring of Honor.

Speaking to Bert Kreischer on his Bertcast podcast, Ronda Rousey was asked if she had any nagging injuries from her time in MMA and WWE. Rousey revealed that she has knee, back and neck issues.

“My right knee has no ACL, missing the middle of my patella tendon and no cartilage. So I have to get shots every six months to like lubricate it. So it actually will move the bone spurs, will move past each other and it won't lock up. My bottom vertebrae on my back is cracked in half. So basically, the doctor was like, ‘Don't get fat and keep your core strong, but when you're pregnant, it's going to suck.’ So basically, my knee, my back. Everybody's got degenerative disc disease basically in their neck. So I got that going for me,” Rousey said.

Ronda Rousey won't return to WWE

In the same interview with Bert Kreischer, Ronda Rousey also confirmed that she has no interest in returning to WWE.

"I'm probably not going to be going back. I'm very grateful for the experience and what I was able to help the women do to get to the main event of WrestleMania. But, you know, it's not my circus, not my monkeys," Rousey said.

Despite her short stints in WWE, Rousey has a Hall of Fame resume with three WWE Women's Championships, one Women's Tag Team Championship and one Royal Rumble win.
