Jarrett Allen’s luck couldn’t have been worse before the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Wednesday night contest against the Boston Celtics

The Texas product suffered an unfortunate finger fracture during the pregame, but felt comfortable ultimately gutting it out.

Allen finished with 16 points, six rebounds, and one block per game while shooting 57.1% from the field in a 125-105 loss.

Allen appeared on the Cavaliers' injury report ahead of Cleveland’s upcoming battle against the Toronto Raptors

Is Jarrett Allen playing vs. the Raptors tonight?

Like Allen’s six-time All-Star teammate, Donovan Mitchell, Allen is questionable for Cleveland's sixth regular-season contest.

Although Evan Mobley is Cleveland’s premier frontcourt presence, Allen’s skill set makes him a solid fit alongside the former No. 3 overall pick.

Whether operating as a consistent rim runner, a dependable roller in ball screen situations, or a serviceable interior defender, Allen ensures he contributes nightly.

The 27-year-old averages 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game so far this season, connecting on 57.5% of his field goals in five games.

Mobley, who already possesses an expanded role with Kenny Atkinson’s Cavaliers, would have to elevate his game to a new level if Allen has to sit out for a brief period.

The good news is that there aren’t any public reports indicating that Allen’s injury will affect him long-term, which should help relieve some stress.
