Team India stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025-26. The tournament will kick off on Wednesday, December 24.
Rohit Sharma has been named in Mumbai's squad, while Virat Kohli will feature for Delhi. They will be available for the initial stages, but it remains to be seen whether they will play the entire tournament. The two batters are in solid form coming into the domestic 50-over tournament. Mumbai will kick-start their campaign against Sikkim in Jaipur. Delhi will face Andhra Pradesh in their opening clash in Bengaluru. Both teams will play seven matches each in the group stage.
Rohit made 146 runs from three matches in the recent ODI series against South Africa with two half-centuries. In the same series, Kohli smashed 302 runs from three games with two hundreds and a half-century.
Both batters will be looking to carry their form and use this platform as a preparatory ground for the upcoming 2027 World Cup. Their presence will also come as a massive boost for their respective teams.

Virat Kohli has been phenomenal in the VHT in his limited games. He has scored four hundreds and three half-centuries. His highest score came against Haryana in 2009, when he smashed 124 runs off just 82 balls with nine boundaries and seven maximums at a strike rate of 151.21.
