A released WWE star has found himself in the middle of controversy after controversy recently. The star has been in the public eye for all the wrong reasons of late.

What happened with Ridge Holland and why is he in a controversy now?

Holland has been cut from WWE with his contract ending early when the company decided to cut him for his actions on social media. He's now in another controversy after a GoFundMe was started in his name and has made an announcement.

The former Brawling Brutes member has found himself the focus of quite a few unfortunate moments in the company. Other than a history of long-term injuries, he was the one who hit Big E with an overhead suplex outside the ring, which ended up injuring the star and forcing him to retire. This garnered him a lot of hate as well.

On top of that, the star was also labeled an unsafe worker after Elton Prince suffered an injury while wrestling him as well. Recently, the WWE star suffered an injury that was set to keep him out for upwards of seven months while wrestling a match against Moose in TNA. Soon after the injury, he was among the names of WWE's cuts.

The former WWE star took to social media and spoke about how he was not going to be able to work for six months after his contract ended due to the injury and that the company would not be paying him in this time. They would still be taking care of his rehabilitation payments. His multiple rants on social media drew the ire of the company, who decided to end his contract earlier than it was planned in retaliation.

Soon, a GoFundMe was started in his name by a family member where multiple of his fellow stars donated to help him and his family.

The star caught flak for having a GoFundMe started in his name and his ability to save money was called into question. Earlier today, he said that he was shutting down the GoFundMe, and that when he was able to, he would be donating to a charity. A lot of fans took this to mean that he was donating the money he had received from the GoFundMe to a charity, and he was called out for being a scammer.

Now, the star has made an announcement.

"I AM NOT DONATING THE GO FUND ME MONEY! Once I am earning money and in a position to donate I will donate to charity. This will be the money i earn not the go fund me money. I am not a scammer."

He said that the money he was donating was not the GoFundMe money. He would be using that money, and it was only after he started earning that he would be donating a separate amount of money to a charity. He reiterated that he was not a scammer.

This announcement has not helped either, with fans still calling him out.
