The NASCAR Cup Series is set to return to Phoenix Raceway for the season's final race. The one to finish highest among the Championship 4 drivers will take home the title. The 312-lap 2025 Championship Race will start at 3:30 pm this Sunday (November 2).

After Sunday's Round of 8 elimination race at Martinsville, Hendrick Motorsports drivers, William Byron and Kyle Larson joined Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe. All of them have won at least one race at Phoenix in their Cup careers.

Here is how they rank by career average finish at the one-mile dogleg oval in Arizona.

#1. Denny Hamlin

Denny Hamlin will enter the finale with two wins and a career average finish of 10.6, highest among the four, in 40 races at Phoenix. He was the first to clinch a spot in the Championship 4 after taking the checkered flag at the Round of 8 opener at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The 44-year-old also leads all NASCAR Cup drivers in wins (5) this season.

Hamlin has two prior wins at Phoenix but has not won a race there in six years. The Joe Gibbs Racing No. 11 Toyota driver won the playoff race at Phoenix in 2019 and a spring race in 2012.

#2. Kyle Larson

Kyle Larson ranks second among playoff contenders with a career average finish of 10.7 in 22 races. He has one win and 10 top-5 finishes. Larson also won the NASCAR Cup finale race at Phoenix during his championship run in 2021.

However, the 33-year-old has yet to win in his last 23 races this season. Larson's last Cup win was at Kansas Speedway in May.

#3. William Byron

William Byron has an average finish of 10.8 in 15 races at Phoenix. He has one win at the track and has finished in the top 10 in nine of those seven races.

However, Byron, who has collected three wins so far this season, has just one finish outside the top-10 in the last five races there. In the last seven races, he has averaged 8.0. The No. 24 Chevy driver finished in 6th during the spring race at Phoenix earlier this season.

#4. Chase Briscoe

Chase Briscoe, who had made it to the NASCAR Cup Championship 4 for the first time in his 5-year career, has the lowest average finish of 18.4 at Phoenix. In nine starts there, he has managed one win, two top-5s, and four top-10s. The former Stewart-Haas Racing driver earned his first NASCAR Cup win at the Phoenix spring race in 2022.

Briscoe also tied with Larson and Byron in three wins so far this season. His first win came at Pocono, and the other two came during the playoffs at Darlington and Talladega.
