#3 Anthony Stolarz

Toronto Maple Leafs netminder Anthony Stolarz had a solid bounce-back game. After showing some less-than-stellar play this season, Stolarz showed up for the Leafs on Tuesday night. The 33-year-old made several key saves to bail out his club early in the game.

Overall, Stolarz’s play was an encouraging sign that whatever struggles he’s had earlier this season could be behind him.

#2 Matthew Knies

Matthew Knies played a huge role in Tuesday night’s win. The 23-year-old forward scored twice including a yeoman’s goal on the power play. Here’s a look:

The goal came on a mad scramble in front of the Calgary net. Auston Matthews did a fantastic job of keeping the play alive by sweeping the puck in front. There, Knies fought off a challenge from the Flames’ defenseman to tap the puck into the open cage.

Knies had a big night, totaling two goals and one assist. His helper in the game-winning tally was crucial in helping the Maple Leafs get the two points at home.

#1 Max Domi

The much-maligned Toronto Maple Leafs forward came up huge on Tuesday night. Max Domi scored twice, tying the game at one, and then getting the crucial game-winner late in the third period.

Here’s a look at the big tally:

The sequence started with two dreadful turnovers by the Flames. Jake McCabe did a fantastic job of keeping the puck in the zone. Calgary failed to clear the zone, allowing John Tavares to keep the play alive.

Then, Domi got the shot away to sentence the game in favor of Toronto.

The Maple Leafs will be back on the ice on Wednesday night as the face the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.
