“Probably gonna be same result” - Atlanta GC’s Billy Horschel takes dig at New York GC ahead of TGL faceoff

Ahead of the TGL, Billy Horschel took a subtle dig at last year's co-finalists, New York GC. The ace golfer shared a video asking fans to join the TGL action, but also made it clear that the result was going to be in Atlanta GC's favor again.

The TGL 2026 is set to begin on Monday, December 29, at the SoFi Center. The first match will be a rematch of the first season's final between Atlanta GC and New York GC, and Horschel will represent the defending champions.

On Sunday, December 28, Horschel shared a video on Instagram ahead of TGL Match 1.

"Hey, guys, Billy Horschel here," he said. "I’m at SoFi Center. I’ve been getting ready for Season 2, which kicks off tomorrow at 3:00 PM on ABC. It’s a rematch against New York Golf Club, who we beat in the finals last year to win the inaugural SoFi Cup." I'm just going to go ahead and say it’s probably going to be the same result tomorrow as it was in the finals. But please, tune in. You’re going to love TGL if you haven’t watched it. A lot of cool guys here, a lot of great teams. Find someone you like, find the team you like, tune in, it’s a lot of fun. Some changes are coming with new holes and other technology updates. There are upgrades everyone’s going to love, and I think you should all check it out," he added.

The TGL 2026 will have the same six teams as the opening season and will feature four players on each team. Tiger Woods is set to miss the first half of the TGL and will be available for Jupiter Links GC only later.
