Patriots WR Stefon Diggs evades NFL punishment for leaving medical tent against Ravens

The Patriots will be relying on Stefon Diggs to carry the offense against the Jets as New England is without Kayshon Boutte and Mack Hollins for Sunday's contest. The veteran wide receiver was in the news after he exited the blue medical tent during the Baltimore Ravens game in Week 15 without being cleared.

Diggs was under threat of receiving a fine from the NFL for his actions, but the wide receiver was spared from any punishment. The Patriots star reflected on the situation and explained his actions.

“[The trainers] said I had a concussion, but they never touched my head, I never laid on the ground,” Diggs stated. “They monitored me for a concussion. I said, ‘I never had a concussion., I was touching my shoulder.’ "So how y’all say I had a concussion? I was fighting with them to get back out there. … I apologized to them afterwards, but you can’t stop me from being out on the field.”

With the incident behind him, Diggs would look to help the Patriots clinch a win against the Jets and seal the AFC East in the process.
