Perez Hilton slams Tristen Alan Leritz for allegedly sexually assaulting elderly woman because he was "a virgin"

Pop culture podcaster Perez Hilton slammed a man named Tristen Alan Leritz for allegedly sexually assaulting a 51-year-old woman. According to People, Leritz was taken into custody on October 30 in relation to an alleged sexual assault that occurred last Tuesday.

Citing a statement from the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, the outlet reported that the 21-year-old Minnesota man allegedly sexually assaulted an elderly woman in Vadnais Heights. Perez Hilton blogged on the incident in his November 6 blog.

The podcaster shared that following the arrest, Leritz reportedly admitted to the "assault." Hilton reported that, as per the criminal complaint shared by several media outlets, the suspect saw the woman walking alone and allegedly thought:

"F**k it, since I’m a virgin."

The blogger called the reason for the alleged assault "beyond vile." Reacting to it, Hilton commented:

"What. The. F**k. We honestly don’t even know where to begin with that…"

In its November 5 report, People cited the Sheriff's office's statement and noted that the suspect was awaiting formal charges. The outlet also noted that previous court records revealed Tristen Alan Leritz was convicted of car theft in 2024.

In his Thursday blog, the celebrity influencer reported that Tristen Alan Leritz allegedly "snuck up behind" the elderly woman while she was walking alone on a sidewalk. Citing the statement, Perez Hilton described the alleged attack as:

"Leritz reportedly walked up behind her and accosted her before 'dragging her off the sidewalk into a secluded area, and sexually assaulting her,' according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. Whoa…"

He noted that the woman was on a call with her friend during the alleged attack. The victim reportedly asked her friend to immediately call 911. The blogger added that by the time cops figured out the location of the incident, the suspect had allegedly fled the area. Citing several media reports, Perez Hilton described how Tristen Alan Leritz allegedly assaulted the woman.

"Leritz dragged the woman into bushes off the sidewalk, covered her mouth, and strangled her as he began to sexually assault her. Per the police complaint cited by the Pioneer Press and others, the assault lasted about 15 minutes," the blogger wrote.

According to the statement released by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, the 51-year-old victim "fought hard." She managed to knock off the perpetrator's glasses and also "bit his hand." Hilton mentioned that the glasses became a key clue. When the law enforcement authorities gathered information about that pair of glasses, they managed to reach Tristen Alan Leritz's family, who then turned him in.

According to CBS News, the victim was sent to a hospital, and there were several cuts and bruises on her body. DNA sampling was conducted after the alleged assault, which reportedly matched that of Tristen Alan Leritz. In the statement, the Sheriff's office credited community members and BCA professionals for making the arrest possible.
