Batting .311 with 18 home runs and 94 RBIs, Bo Bichette played a starring role in helping the Toronto Blue Jays win their division, the AL East, for the first time since 2015.

Now a free agent, Blue Jays fans have naturally been clamoring for the organization to re-sign the infielder. While reports have claimed such a move may be in the works, nothing is yet set in stone, and Bichette's future remains undecided for the time being.

On Wednesday's episode of "Toronto Sports Rush," oddsmaker and sports betting analyst Todd Fuhrman spoke about the one major concern he had with Bo Bichette potentially re-singing with the Blue Jays.

"My big thing about (Bo) Bichette, I get he's homegrown talent, but we know about his defensive shortcomings," Fuhrman said (Timestamp: 2:17). "You're going to move him potentially to second base. Is his bat enough to offset what you could get from some of these other guys? That's my biggest concern. You don't want to be cold hearted. "You don't want to be nostalgic, on the other end of things. But (the Blue Jays must) try and figure out where his skill set is best suited. If it's a player that can no longer play a premium position and provide pop in the lineup, I'd be looking to get the best bat that could add that RBI production in the middle of the lineup, above all else."

Todd Fuhrman believes the Blue Jays will be better of signing Kyle Tucker instead of Bo Bichette

In the same conversation, Fuhrman explained why he thought Kyle Tucker offered a "higher celing" for the Blue Jays, as compared to Bo Bichette.

"I think Kyle Tucker has the highest ceiling in terms of being that big bat that you want to lean into," Fuhrman said (Timestamp: 1:13). "So much is made about trying to retain homegrown talent, but at some point you have to figure out which is the guy that is going to take you from point A to point B." "I think Kyle Tucker would be an excellent addition if you can plug him in on a game-in, game-out basis, anywhere from one to three in that lineup," he added." He gives you an extra big force that teams have to contend with when it comes to grinding out 27 outs against the Jays all summer long."

While Kyle Tucker may be a more well-rounded player than Bo Bichette, his contractual expectations are reported to be significantly higher. While Bichette is projected to secure a deal in the range of $150 million, Tucker is rumored to be expecting a figure in the ballpark of $400 million.
