A popular AEW star is reportedly open to exploring her options when her contract expires. Fans have given their thoughts on this development.

Anna Jay has been part of AEW since the company's early days. She gained traction in the Jacksonville-based promotion by being the first female member in The Dark Order. She made regular appearances on TV. After leaving The Dark Order, she joined Jericho Appreciation Society. Over the years, she formed a beautiful friendship with Tay Melo. The two of them even pursued the Women's Tag Team Titles this year, but were unsuccessful. Despite being one of the most talented women on the roster, Anna Jay is still in pursuit of her first title.

It was recently reported that Anna Jay's AEW contract was expiring in Spring 2026, and she is open to exploring her options.

Anna Jay hasn't competed in AEW since November 2025

Tony Khan has a tendency to keep his wrestlers, who are leaving his company, from competing in the ring. He did the same with Miro. The Bulgarian Brute was kept off TV for over a year until he was granted his release. The same thing happened with Rey Fenix. The luchador had a lot of injury time added onto his contract, which delayed his departure from the company.

Looking at Anna Jay's last match, she hasn't stepped back into the ring since TayJay were knocked out of the Women's Tag Team Titles tournament on the 19th November episode of Collision. During a recent episode of Collision, Anna Jay's partner and best friend was on the receiving end of a brutal assault from the Triangle of Madness. However, it was Jamie Hayter and Kris Statlander who showed up to make the save instead of Anna Jay.

This could be because Tony Khan is keeping her off TV since Anna Jay is planning to leave All Elite Wrestling once her contract expires next year.
