Abraham Ancer expressed his hopes regarding LIV Golf receiving major exemptions in the future
In January, Abraham Ancer sat down for an interview with Golf Monthly where he shared his opinions regarding major exemptions. The golfer voiced his support for the Saudi PIF-backed golf league's golfers getting a chance to compete in majors. Ancer said (via Golf Monthly):
"We will find out if anything changes (regarding Major exemptions). Do we want to play the Majors? Of course we do. So, hopefully something happens and there’s a bit of a path. "I feel like there’s a bunch of (LIV) players who have a chance to win a Major, but we’ll see what happens. We definitely saw it this past year and you see the hunger in us wanting to play in Majors"Ancer also revealed in the same interview that he was happy with his decision to join LIV Golf even after knowing about the possibility of not being able to compete in the majors.
