Nets' Egor Demin makes basketball history never done before by NBA teenager

The Brooklyn Nets don’t have much to be excited about in late January.

The rebuilding Eastern Conference boasts a horrid 13-34 record and is likely deemed a guaranteed win by some franchises.

However, there are a few bright spots worth noting. Michael Porter Jr. has been magnificent with the Nets in his first year with the franchise, averaging 25.6 points per game on 48.2% from the field and 39.8% from three, which has increased his trade value.

Additionally, Egor Demin has exhibited promise with the Nets as a rookie. The BYU product is efficiently contributing 10.7 points per game.

On Friday, Denim made basketball history never done by an NBA teenager.

“Egor Demin is the first teenager in NBA history to record 25+ points, 10+ rebounds, & 5+ three-point makes,” Real App stated on X/Twitter.

For clarity, Denim, who’s 19 years old, recorded 25 points, 10 rebounds, and six made threes in the Nets’ 109-99 victory over the Utah Jazz.

High-level three-point shooting is the name of the game for Demin. While the 6-foot-8 guard will occasionally put the ball on the floor and make a play off the bounce, he’s at his best when letting it fly from long range.

Denim is shooting 40.2% from beyond the arc, which could be a sign of what’s to come in the foreseeable future.
