Montreal Canadiens players and their partners showed off standout themed looks this Halloween sharing coordinated costumes across social media during spooky season.

Forward Patrik Laine and his wife Jordan Leigh took a classic animated approach by dressing as Jessie and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. Leigh wore a cow-print western outfit with a red braided wig and yellow-trimmed shirt, while Laine suited up as the iconic space ranger in a white and green astronaut ensemble.

“Happy Halloween from the Laines! 🎃” Jordan captioned the short reel she posted on her Instagram.

Defenseman Noah Dobson and his wife Alexa Dobson dressed up as Frankenstein and the Bride. Dobson wore a dark attire with green face makeup and neck bolts, while Alexa paired a flowing white wedding-style gown and veil with black lace tights.

“Frankenstein and Bride of Frank 💚💚 @n_dobson” Alex wrote.

Forward Juraj Slafkovsky and partner Angelie Bourgeois-Pelletier opted for a retro film aesthetic on the occasion. Slafkovsky wore a sharp white jacket with black collar, sunglasses and slicked-back hair playing Tony “Scarface” Montana while Angelie sported a blonde bob wig and teal dress with fur accent as Elvira Montana for the 1980s crime-movie look.

Defenseman Arber Xhekaj and his girlfriend Stephanie Kielb dressed up as characters from Disney-Pixar’s Up.

Xhekaj appeared in a yellow scout uniform with shorts, badges and cap, while Kielb wore glasses, a blazer and bow tie like the film’s elderly adventurer.

Patrik Liane and Jordan Leigh’s Halloween look form last year

Last year, Patrik Laine and Jordan Leigh did a playful costume swap for Halloween as “Doctor-Nurse”. Rather than sticking to traditional roles, Laine dressed as a lady nurse sporting a white outfit paired with fishnet stockings, a red garter, boots, a wig and glasses, while Leigh took on the doctor role in a lab coat holding an oversized syringe and even added a fake mustache.

The pair attended the Habs Halloween party alongside a group of friends including several partners of Montreal Canadiens players where costumes ranged from astronauts and pilots to retro-inspired looks.

The same week Jordan had also reflected on the couple’s standout 2023 Halloween look sharing throwback photos from when Laine was still with the Blue Jackets. That year, they took on the beloved animated classic dressing as Shrek and Princess Fiona. They were joined by teammate Adam Fantilli, who completed the trio as Donkey with a waffle box in hand.

“Not sure how to top Shrek and Fiona from 2023,” Jordan wrote in the caption.

Laine fully committed to the part with green face paint, a white tunic, brown vest and Shrek ears, while Leigh donned Princess Fiona’s signature green gown, a red wig and a tiara. Fantilli went all-in with a gray donkey suit, tail and ears.
