Heading into the Phoenix Raceway, NASCAR has two reigning champions in its different racing divisions aiming to retain their elusive titles, and one of them is Ty Majeski. Moreover, the 31-year-old is high on morale as he sends out a warning to his rivals in the Truck Series field that he would be tough to beat come raceday for the championship.
Since 2022, Majeski has been racing full-time in the Truck Series. His breakthrough came last year, when he won three races en route to the Truck Series title in Phoenix to assert his presence in the stock car racing field.
Though he was regarded as a heavyweight heading into the 2025 season, the reigning champion has not had the success in the year so far that many had initially thought about. Heading into Phoenix, he arrives winless.
Despite this, the No. 98 driver is looking to have a tough brawl for the title, as he said ahead of the race weekend:
"I think the biggest thing for us is we've kind of been there and done that. I think the pressure is now off of us. I think making it to Phoenix is very difficult, going through Talladega, Roval, and Martinsville. So, the pressure was on last week for sure, and we have been able to get through that. My entire team is really similar to last year, so we've been here, we've done this, we know what it takes as far as obligations go. We know how to handle the pressure, so excited about what we're bringing to Phoenix." "The truck is as humanly possible as we can make it identically wise to what we had last year, so I'm thinking if we can replicate, we're going to be pretty difficult to beat on Friday."Ty Majeski will have to fight against Corey Heim, Kaden Honeycutt, and Tyler Ankrum for the 2025 crown.

However, this was largely bound to happen as eight different Truck Series drivers had won this year. But when it comes to comparing the championship four against each other, the battle seems largely one-sided.
Out of the final four, Kaden Honeycutt has the worst average finishing position during the 2025 season at 13.208. Meanwhile, Tyler Ankrum comes in at 10,667.
Though Ty Majeski has the second-best average finish, coming in at 10.167, no one comes near Corey Heim. The Regular Season champion has an astonishing 5.208 average finish and 11 wins under his belt.
So, arriving at Phoenix, Heim looks to be the favorite and to finally clinch the Truck Series title after near misses in the previous two years.
