Mercedes Mone has caught eyeballs after making a bold statement following the confirmation of a major title match at AEW Full Gear 2025.
Mercedes Mone is a groundbreaking figure in professional wrestling, and that is an understatement. The CEO recently broke Ultimo Dragon's record of holding 10 titles simultaneously by winning her 11th at WrestleDream 2025 earlier this month. She then followed it up by winning an unthinkable 12th in WPW. Now, she has the chance to go for no. 13 after her challenge to Kris Statlander for the AEW Women's World Championship was accepted by Galaxy's Greatest Alien. The match is set for Full Gear 2025 and will see both women clash for a title since their TBS championship showdown last year, which the CEO won.
Following the official confirmation of the match, AEW posted a replay of Mone and Statlander's TBS title match from Full Gear 2024, which Mone won. The CEO shared that video on X and said that history will repeat itself.
"History will repeats itself!," wrote Mone on XDid The Rock's "Final Boss" run hurt WWE? Watch Here!

Tommy Dreamer makes pitch for AEW star Mercedes Mone to relinquish her titles
Ever since the Kris Statlander v/s Mercedes Mone Women's World title match was confirmed for Full Gear 2025, fans have been speculating about how Mone will handle her other titles, which she is likely to lose eventually. Recently, ECW legend Tommy Dreamer offered an interesting solution during an appearance on Busted Open Radio. Dreamer, however, believes that for his pitch to work, the CEO must win the Women's World Title.
"I would have Mercedes win. And just to be a bigger douche, vacate every title, which then goes to [her saying], I'm not putting everybody over but due to my hectic schedule, make her a bigger heel. I'm only acknowledging this title, almost like everything you did was a stepping stone to get to what you wanted. But then vacate every other title you have because this is the most meaningful," Dreamer said. [H/T WrestlingINC]It will be interesting to see if Mone can walk away with the Women's World Title at FullGear and claim an unprecedented 13th belt.
