The former AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley has been announced for a major match this week. The Death Riders leader is set to take on one of his huge rivals from the past.
Jon Moxley has been facing a lot of setbacks after losing his AEW World title at All In Texas in July. He is currently competing in the 2025 Continental Classic in the blue league of the tournament. The Purveyor of Violence currently stands at only 6 points, as he has had two wins and two losses respectively until now.
Meanwhile, Moxley is slated for his last match in the Continental Classic blue league. It has been announced that the Death Riders leader will take on his former major rival, Orange Cassidy, in his last league match this Thursday on Christmas Collision. Moxley and Cassidy have faced each other in singles encounters three times during their AEW run.

Speaking of Orange Cassidy, he also stands at six points in the blue league, similar to Moxley. However, Cassidy will have another league match left after his bout with The Purveyor of Violence this Thursday. It will be interesting to see who reaches the semi-finals from the blue league.
Jon Moxley on participating in the AEW Continental Classic
Jon Moxley is participating in the Continental Classic this year after being in the first tournament in 2023. During a recent backstage promo, Moxley revealed his ultimate goal in the ongoing tournament to be leaving it all out there:
"Uphill climb against the Elite of the Elite for the rest of this tournament. Whatever happens, happens. I just want you to know that when it's over, I didn't leave any bullets in the chamber, I left it all out there, all of it."Fans will have to wait and see if Moxley manages to advance to the semi-finals of Continental Classic at Worlds End 2025.
