Chelsea also attached a heartfelt caption, reflecting on their relationship that has battled highs and lows in the last decade. She wrote:
"11 years with my best friend. From kids in love… to vows… to babies, baseball, and dreams we never could’ve imagined. What a life we’ve built, and it just keeps getting sweeter 🤍 #anniversary"Earlier, the couple even celebrated their 11th engagement anniversary with a touching post on social media. Chelsea shared a romantic photo of the couple at sunset and captioned it:
"Can’t believe it’s been 11 years since we got engaged!!! @freddiefreeman"Freddie Freeman and Chelsea have stuck with each other since 2011
The couple has come a long way over the years. It all began in 2011 when they started dating. At the time, Freddie Freeman, drafted by the Atlanta Braves out of high school in 2007, was already in the majors, while Chelsea was in college.
On Nov. 22, 2014, they tied the knot at the St. Regis Bal Harbour in Miami Beach, Florida.
They went on to welcome three sons, starting with giving birth of Frederick Charles “Charlie” II, on September 15, 2016. However, after the birth of their first son, they struggled to conceive, leading them to seek help through a surrogate. At the same time, Chelsea also became pregnant unexpectedly as they went on to welcome two sons, Brandon and Maximus, in the span of three months between December 2020 to February 2021.
The family faced a serious issue after their son Max, was diagnosed with Guillain‑Barré syndrome in August 2024. He suffered a full-body paralysis and was hospitalized for eight days before being discharged. During this time, Chelsea constantly shared updates on social media and received a lot of support from friends, family and the Dodgers.
On the baseball front, Freeman won the 2021 World Series with Atlanta before signing with the Dodgers in free agency and shifting to California. With the Dodgers, Freeman won back-to-back World Series in 2024 and 2025.
