Malik Willis was one of the standout players in the Green Bay Packers vs. Baltimore Ravens game. Willis threw for 288 passing yards and one passing touchdown, and two rushing TDs in a 41-24 loss.
The promising shot caller will be a free agent in 2026. With that in mind, let's look at five teams that could potentially target the Packers QB2.

5 teams that should target Malik Willis in 2026.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers haven't had a consistent franchise quarterback since Ben Roethlisberger retired after the 2021 season. Current QB1 Aaron Rodgers is likely retiring at the end of the current campaign.

Malik Willis could be a solid addition to Mike Tomlin's team. His passing ability, rushing skills, and experience could work a charm in the Steelers' offense.
4. Kansas City Chiefs
There's a solid chance that Patrick Mahomes will miss most of (if not all) of the 2026 season. Mahomes suffered an ACL injury in Week 15.
The Chiefs could sign Malik Willis on a one-year deal to guide their offense until the return of the three-time Super Bowl champion. It'll be interesting seeing Willis throw to Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice, and maybe even Travis Kelce.
3. Miami Dolphins
Most signs are pointing to Tua Tagovailoa being done as the Dolphins' starting quarterback. That leaves a hole at QB1 for the AFC East team in 2026.
Malik Willis could be a shrewd replacement for the injury-prone Tagovailoa. The weapons in Miami could be a solid launch pad for Wills to fulfil his potential in South Beach.
2. Las Vegas Raiders
The Geno Smith experiment has left a lot to be desired in Las Vegas. The two-time Pro Bowler might be on a new team in 2026, and the Raiders need a younger and high upside replacement to kick-start their rebuild.
Willis could be just that, especially with how he's been playing over the past few games. He'll benefit from next year's draft and the existing weapons on offense, like Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty.
1. Minnesota Vikings
Justin Jefferson could potentially finish with less than 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his professional football career. J. J. McCarthy looks unprepared to be a starting quarterback at the moment.
Willis could come in to start games in Minnesota and potentially mentor McCarthy in his third season. It could be a savvy move by the Vikings front office, and one that could save them from Jefferson potentially demanding a trade.
