Leon Draisaitl's wife Celeste attends the premier of 'Wicked: For Good' alongside Zach Hyman and Darnell Nurse's partners

Several partners of Edmonton Oilers players attended a local screening tied to the Canadian premiere of “Wicked: For Good” this week.

On Friday, Leon Draisaitl’s wife Celeste Desjardins shared an Instagram story from the theater tagging Zach Hyman’s wife Allanah and Darnell Nurse’s wife Mihayla.

Her story showed two green themed cocktails served in round Wicked-branded glasses The photo, taken before the screening began, shows the group seated together for the nationwide premiere event.

"It's time," she wrote followed by green and pick heart emojis.

"Wicked: For Good" is the second and final installment of the two-part adaptation of the Broadway musical. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the movie stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, Ethan Slater as Boq and Marissa Bode as Nessarose.

It was released in Canada on November 21, 2025 and runs just over two hours. The sequel continues the story directly from the first film as Elphaba becomes a hunted outcast in Oz while Glinda assumes public leadership in Emerald City. The sequel completes the major narrative arcs from the stage musical and wraps up the characters’ storylines through the darker final chapters of the Oz timeline.

Leon Draisaitl’s wife pens sweet message for 'best friend' on his 30th birthday

Earlier last month, Leon Draisaitl’s wife Canadian actress Celeste Desjardins celebrated the Oilers star’s 30th birthday by posting a heartfelt tribute paired with a set of intimate throwback photos from their romantic wedding in Provence, France.

She began by sharing a black-and-white story of the couple slow-dancing and wrote:

“Happy 30th birthday to my best friend. You make life so much more fun!”

Celeste followed the birthday message with a full carousel of candid wedding images with a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their celebration in the French countryside.

“Happy 30th Birthday my love! ❤️,” she captioned the post.

The pics showed the pair laughing beside a garden fountain, strolling down a tree-lined path and posing before the ceremony on the grounds of the chateau. Draisaitl wore a classic black tuxedo and bow tie while Desjardins was in a strapless gown with a long flowing train.

The carousel moved into the afterparty where Draisaitl was photographed with a drink in hand and Desjardins changed into a short white lace dress as guests filtered into the nighttime celebration.

Leon Draisaitl and Celeste Desjardins began dating in 2018 and were engaged in July 2024 during a trip to Mallorca, Spain. They married the following summer in Provence surrounded by close family and friends.
