Anthony Joshua recently opened up about training with Oleksandr Usyk ahead of his fight against Jake Paul next month. Joshua called the experience "phenomenal" and explained why he isn't training out of London for this fight.

Joshua is among the most well-known boxers in the world today and is a former two-time heavyweight world champion. The hard-hitting Englishman has a professional record of 28-4, with 25 of those wins coming via knockout. He's coming off a fifth-round KO loss against Daniel Dubois last September.

Given that Joshua's fight against Paul could be an opportunity for him to get back in the win column, it appears the Englishman is teaming up with the reigning unified heavyweight world champion's camp. At a pre-fight press conference, Joshua explained not training in the UK under Ben Davison's tutelage for the Paul clash and said:

"I won't be trained by Ben Davison, I said that London's a bit distracting for me, so I was invited to train with team Usyk. I've been in Spain, and we've been doing some good training... He's [Usyk] one of the best in the world. It's not all down to him; it's down to his team that's around him."

He added:

"I linked up with them, getting an insight into how someone has achieved so much. It's been phenomenal, man. It's been a great experience and it's very challenging."

Anthony Joshua issues an ice-cold prediction for Jake Paul fight

Anthony Joshua is confident of his chances against Jake Paul in their fight next month. The Englishman recently vowed to "stomp all over" the former Disney star and issued an ice-cold preview of their clash.

Speaking at the pre-fight presser (via @HappyPunch on X), Joshua responded to Paul warning him against taking their fight lightly and said:

"If I'm gonna be honest, I'm gonna break his face. I'm gonna break his body up. I'm gonna stomp all over him. That's my mentality, that's a fighter's mentality. I know what's in my heart, and I know what's in my mind. I'm here to compete, I'm here to prove to myself that I'm the better fighter."
