Las Vegas Raiders linked to Miami Dolphins star who put up generational numbers to pair with Fernando Mendoza

The Las Vegas Raiders made some impressive moves and seemingly are bringing Maxx Crosby back.

However, they could still be searching for a major upgrade at WR, and Mark Morales-Smith of Sports Illustrated believes the Raiders could be a potential landing spot for star wideout Tyreek Hill, who was let go by the Miami Dolphins.

Las Vegas made an effort to improve its receiver room early in free agency by signing Jalen Nailor, but Morales-Smith believes that move alone won’t be enough to improve the offense.

“The Raiders added Jalen Nailor in free agency, but they still have one of the worst WR corps in the league,” Morales-Smith wrote. “That isn't good enough if they want their rookie quarterback to be successful.”

Because of that reality, the Raiders might need to pursue a better option to add a proven star, despite the questions about Hill amid his injury.

“With their salary cap now being a bit of a disaster after the Baltimore Ravens pulled out of the Maxx Crosby deal, Las Vegas may have to take a big swing on a high-upside option like Hill.”

“If he returns healthy and is anywhere close to 100%, he will be the perfect bridge wide receiver for the Raiders and their young quarterback until they are able to acquire a true long-term option at WR1.”

For Las Vegas, adding a player with Hill’s speed would instantly change the dynamic of its offense while providing a reliable target for Fernando Mendoza, if it goes that route.
