NBA icon Charles Barkley thanked Justin Thomas for the golf lessons. The American golfer also responded to Barkley's gesture. Recently, Colt Knost’s X page shared a video of Barkley playing golf on the greens.

In the video, Barkley shared that he would play just the way Thomas taught him to. He further added good wishes for Thomas’ recovery in the same video. Later, Thomas reshared the $90 million-worth athlete’s (according to Celebrity Networth) clip on his X handle and wrote:

Chuck is a legend!!!”

Justin Thomas last played at the Procore Championship, where the player finished in 69th place with a total score of 1 over. The golfer landed in second place at The American Express, which took place at the Pete Dye Stadium Course. At that event, he scored 23 under in total.

The 32-year-old's other top 10 finishes came at the WM Phoenix Open with T6, the Genesis Invitational with T9, the Valspar Championship with a second-place finish, the Truist Championship with T2, and the Travelers Championship with T9 and the TOUR Championship with T7 after scoring 15 under, 6 under, 10 under, 14 under, 9 under, and 13 under, respectively.

Justin Thomas won only one tournament in the 2025 season at the RBC Heritage after scoring 17 under. His best finish in the 2024 season came at the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP, after finishing at T2.

Justin Thomas shares his excitement for the RSM Classic

Justin Thomas recently underwent back surgery to treat a herniated disc that was causing aggravated pain and hip movement issues. Given his condition, Thomas won't be able to play at the RSM Classic.

Therefore, the golfer will enjoy the event virtually and shared his excitement about catching the PGA Tour tournament on TV. He said:

“Excited to watch @TheRSMClassic this week. Yes partially because I can’t really do much besides sitting on my recliner, but the level of importance of this tournament for players and next season. Every shot hit from the entire 2025 season comes down to this one week for some guys. The difference of having a Tour card or not, getting into the Players/elevated events on the line, having a schedule vs playing when you can get in, can all come down to one shot, putt or decision this week… so many storylines. I will be tuned in to watch the drama unfold!”

The RSM Classic is taking place at the Sea Island Seaside Course. After round 2, Andrew Novak is leading the event with a total score of 16 under. The second place on the leaderboard is occupied by Michael Thorbjornsen and Patrick Rodgers, who scored 15 under. Greyson Sigg and Sami Välimäki finished at T4 with 14 under each.
