AEW star Jon Moxley had sustained a tooth injury during the Worlds End pay-per-view. While 2024 and the first half of 2025 weren't so good for the Death Riders leader, he made a major comeback in the past few months. He recently won the Continental Championship after surviving some top names.

The former AEW World Champion faced Kyle Fletcher in the semifinal. The two stars put on one of the best matches that night. He defeated Kazuchika Okada in the finals of the tournament. However, instead of hiding it in the briefcase as he did with the world title, the One True King hoisted it high and celebrated the title win. He has seemingly turned babyface during Worlds End.

During the semifinals, Kyle Fletcher used the steps to weaken Moxley. Amidst their spot, the Purveyor of Violence slipped and fell on the steps face-first and, as a result, he broke a tooth. AEW posted Jon Moxley's picture and captioned it 'smile of a new champion'.

"That's the smile of a new champion!" AEW wrote.

Tony Khan talks about Jon Moxley's incredible work ethic

In early 2025, the One True King defended his AEW World Championship more often. Many believed he might go on a hiatus after losing the title at All In: Texas. However, he engaged in different feuds and was active throughout the year. He wrestled the most matches in 2025 for AEW.

While speaking on The TakeDown on SI, Tony Khan said Jon Moxley wasn't totally healthy at the start of the year, but got better by wrestling weekly.

"Jon was pretty hurt at the start of the year. He was banged up, and he worked his way back in without ever taking time off. He's been here all year, and he actually got healthier wrestling every week. The man's a marvel," Khan said.

It remains to be seen who will be the reigning Continental Champion's first challenger.
