The 2026 NFL Draft is a good one for teams in need of wide receiver help. There are a ton of interesting options in Round 1, whether it's early, mid, or late first-rounders.

For the New York Jets, there are a few receivers who have been linked to them at various points this offseason. But, two weeks to go until the draft, one player has emerged as the favorite.

According to Jordan Reid of ESPN, the Jets are reportedly "extremely high" on Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. after his 13-touchdown season for the National Champions.

Jets are 'extremely high' on Omar Cooper Jr.

"The Jets are expected to be aggressive in boosting their wide receivers room, and Omar Cooper Jr. (Indiana) is one player they are reported to be extremely high on. They view him as an ideal complementary WR2 to Garrett Wilson."

Cooper has been linked to the Jets often in recent weeks this offseason. He's not a part of the top-tier of WR prospects, making his chances of getting within the Jets' range very likely.

He's likely not the pick at No. 2 overall, but with the 16th or 33rd picks, the Jets could select Cooper and come away happy.

Pick 16 might be the earliest Cooper would go, but if the Jets decide to pass on him, then they could use their 33rd pick and some other ammo to move up into Round 1 for a third selection to take Cooper.

The Indiana WR, who is 6-foot-0, 201 pounds and is coming off a 13-TD, 937-yard season on 69 receptions, is a player the Jets are seemingly very closely linked to.

His best fit is in the slot, and with Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell on the outside, the Jets' WR room could look a lot better if Cooper joins the team during the NFL Draft.
