Analyst urges Bills to double up on critical position for Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills finally addressed the elephant in the room this offseason with the signing of DJ Moore to give Josh Allen the No. 1 weapon he's needed for years.

While the signing of Moore was seen as a good move, some are still skeptical about the entire receiver room and whether it is good enough to take the Bills to the Super Bowl.

Khalil Shakir, Moore, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer, and Tyrell Shavers are the options for Allen (not counting tight ends). Is that enough?

NFL.com's Nick Shook doesn't think so and wants Buffalo to add another receiver in the draft.

“Yes, the Bills need reinforcements to their front seven but we should not forget the receiver-focused narrative (and their prior moves of relative desperation) that followed them into the 2025 playoffs," Shook wrote.

"Injuries decimated a group that already lacked a fearsome threat at the top of the depth chart, a reality that has been painfully true for the Bills since the departure of Stefon Diggs. Although they added DJ Moore via trade, the Bills shouldn't stop there. Buffalo should make this a priority."

Who could Bills target?

Picking so late in the first round, Makai Lemon and Carnell Tate will likely be off the board, but maybe someone like Omar Cooper Jr. could be someone the Bills look at.

Also, defense is a need, with some mock drafts having the Bills adding a pass rusher and others a linebacker, so the franchise has multiple avenues to go down in the first round.

But is receiver really the main area of focus for Buffalo? You could make that case. It is one injury away from being the exact same group as last season.

So, getting a little insurance, plus a potential long-term option at the position, isn't a bad idea.
