WWE star John Cena is finishing up his farewell tour this weekend. WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett recently shared his thoughts on how the company booked the retirement tour.

Cena started this final run on January 6 with the first episode of RAW on Netflix. Since then, he has gone on to become a 17-time World Champion and a Grand Slam Champion in WWE. He had several memorable matches against the likes of Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, CM Punk, R-Truth, Sami Zayn, Logan Paul, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, and Dominik Mysterio.

On a recent episode of My World with Jeff Jarrett, the wrestling legend mentioned that he had high hopes for John Cena's retirement tour. He felt WWE built up the tour, but the final match against seemed a little unemotional. He had no problems with Gunther's credibility, but his being the final opponent didn't make sense to Jarrett.

"Where do I start? I really held out hope, not just month after month, but week after week. I really felt they're building, they're building, they're building. And then we got to the finish line. Look, I consider Gunther a buddy." He continued, "But for him to be the last match, it feels so unemotional. Oh, it's heel vs. babyface. Cena's entire career has been on the lightning rod. Let's go Cena, Cena sucks. So, to put that in equation, that to me, discounts it."
