It took TJ Power a long time to live up to the hype.
A top-25 recruit in his graduating class, the journey started with the Duke Blue Devils but lasted just a year. Then it was just another year with the Virginia Cavaliers. Finally, at the University of Pennsylvania, Power looks right at home with the Ivy League's Penn Quakers.
And it's because of power that Penn is dancing. He dropped an absurd 44 points in the Ivy League Championship, upsetting Yale and bringing the Quakers into the big dance as a 14-seed, matched up with 3-seed Illinois in the Round of 64 on Thursday.
The only problem is that Power isn't feeling well. He's listed as questionable with an illness.
Some are pointing to Penn as an upset pick. Power has to play to make that a realistic outcome.

Is TJ Power playing today?
TJ Power is officially questionable due to illness, and it likely won't be determined until much later Thursday whether he'll play.
The Penn-Illinois game is one of the last games on the docket, so it'll be a waiting game during the day to see how Power feels.
On Wednesday, Penn coach Fran McCaffrey told reporters, "We'll see... We really won't know until tomorrow."
He also added: "If you were to ask me, do I think he's going to play? I'd say yes. But he didn't practice today."
It's hard to think Power would sit unless he was feeling quite terrible. College basketball fans will just have to wait and see.
