Great news for fans of smart horror comedy and exploding heads: There’s a sequel to 2019’s critically acclaimed Ready or Not, and it’s opening in theaters this weekend.
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come picks up mere moments after the iconic ending of the first film, which found star Samara Weaving lighting a cigarette in a bloodied wedding dress. Good news: The dress is back. Grace MacCaullay (Weaving) barely has time to revel in her victory over her murderous in-laws, before she’s caught up in the next phase of the game. Apparently, now all the wealthiest families in the world get to play a new game with Grace. And she better play along, if she wants to save her estranged younger sister, Faith (played by Kathryn Newton).
The creative team for the first film is back for the sequel, including directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, and writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. The new ensemble Ready or Not 2 cast includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, David Cronenberg and Elijah Wood. This fun, blood-splattering sequel would be best watched on the big screen. But if you’d rather wait to watch the movie at home, read on to find out what we know about when and where you’ll be able to watch Ready or Not 2 on streaming.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in the U.S. on Friday, March 20. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Is the Ready or Not 2: Here I Come movie streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is not streaming on Netflix or Amazon, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that it is not a Netflix film. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is a Searchlight Pictures release, which is a studio that is owned by Disney. While some Searchlight films go to Disney+, most end up on the more adult-friendly streamer Hulu, which is also owned by Disney.
You will be able to purchase Ready or Not 2: Here I Come on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Ready or Not 2: Here I Come on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription anytime soon. If you want to watch Ready or Not 2: Here I Come movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Hulu.

You might see Ready or Not 2 streaming on Hulu later this summer.
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is not yet streaming on Hulu. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. We do expect to see Ready or Not 2 streaming on Hulu eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another Searchlight release, Is This Thing On, was released on digital about two months after the film opened in theaters, and will be released on Hulu about three months after the movie opened in theaters.
If Ready or Not 2: Here I Come follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital around late May 2026, and streaming on Hulu around late June 2026. (Provided the Hulu app isn’t phased out before then.)
This is all speculation. If you want to watch Ready or Not 2 right away, you can catch the movie in theaters. And in the meantime, you can watch the first Ready or Not movie streaming on Hulu.
