The Charlotte Hornets enter Saturday's game against the Washington Wizards following Thursday's blowout win against the Orlando Magic.
The 27-point victory marked Charlotte's second win of the season against Orlando, both of which came by 15 points or more.
That said, the Hornets will have to overcome a few injuries if they are to get their second straight victory Saturday.
For starters, third string center Mason Plumlee remains out after undergoing surgery on an injured groin. Reserve point guard KJ Simpson has also been listed as out due to a hip injury.
Luckily for the Hornets, both Ryan Kalkbrenner and Brandon Miller have been listed as probable, dealing with wrist and ankle injuries respectively.
As for the Wizards, they'll be even more shorthanded. Cam Whitmore is out for the season, while Trae Young is also likely to be sidelined until after the All-Star break. Bilal Coulibaly, AJ Johnson, Marvin Bagley III and Tristan Vukcevic have all been listed as out too.
Lastly, Khris Middleton is listed as questionable for Saturday's game due to foot soreness.
Due to inclement weather expected to hit the Charlotte area, the NBA moved up the start time of the game to 12P.M. EST.
Given Washington's injury status, the Hornets are heavy favorites to win their 18th game of the season. This would be an important milestone for the squad to achieve before the All-Star break, especially considering the team finished all of last season with 19 wins.
Following Saturday's game, the Hornets will return to action Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
