Real Madrid hope to take the lead atop the La Liga table, at least temporarily, as they travel to meet third-placed Villarreal out on the eastern coast of Spain on Saturday.

After the shaky start to life under new management, Real Madrid have seemingly found their stride with Alvaro Arbeloa at the helm. Since the shock Copa del Rey exit against lower-league side Albacete, Los Blancos have won two in a row in emphatic fashion, cruising to a 2-0 victory over Levante before a 6-1 Champions League thrashing of French side Monaco.

Sitting just a point back of league leaders Barcelona, injury issues remain for Madrid, especially at the back, but Arbeloa has done well to shake off the early embarrassment in his managerial debut.

Victory in this match would take Madrid above their Catalan rivals, who play the following day as they host newly-promoted Real Oviedo.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times and the weekly schedule.
