“I wish my daughter married Drew instead of Cody” - Brandi Rhodes’ family receives a message from WWE star

The story between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes has been reaching new heights on WWE SmackDown lately. Both top names from the blue brand have been engaged in a feud for months now, and fans have been waiting for them to finally lock horns in the upcoming Three Stages of Hell match to determine the ultimate winner of the rivalry.

Ahead of the massive battle, both men have been making headlines with their promos and their work outside the ring, mocking each other in some way or the other. During a recent live event, Drew McIntyre mocked the Undisputed WWE Champion by talking to his wife's family, who were sitting at ringside.

The former World Champion mocked Rhodes by talking to Brandi Rhodes' parents, claiming that he knew her parents wished if Brandi had married Drew McIntyre instead of the American Nightmare, which got him an arena full of boos, enhancing his heel heat.

“I know what you’re really thinking, ‘I wish my daughter married Drew instead of Cody’".

Ahead of the massive Three Stages of Hell match, it is seemingly clear that this might be the end of the feud between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes on the blue brand. The match between the two men could be interfered by Jacob Fatu, which could lead to a potential storyline between the latter and McIntyre around WrestleMania. Fans will now have to wait and see what WWE has in store for both stars ahead of the Road to WrestleMania, and if the company has any plans to put the World title on McIntyre in the near future.
