Maxxine Dupri will put the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship on the line against Becky Lynch on the RAW on Netflix First Anniversary special next week.
The Man took Dupri lightly, causing her hilarious downward spiral of conspiracy theories and social media rants. AJ Lee's distraction helped the underdog capture the title, but it will be hard for Dupri to get the same result against Lynch.
With big things likely in store for next week's show, the next four signs point to Maxxine Dupri losing the Women's Intercontinental title on RAW.
#4. Maxxine Dupri just got married
When stars request time off for personal reasons or a life milestone, they are often written off television with an attack. If the star is a champion, then they usually drop the belt.
Since Lynch is angling to regain her title, the showdown on RAW feels like the setting for Dupri to drop the title back to Big Time Becks.
With news that Maxxine got married on New Year's Eve and the title belt was brought to the ceremony, her time could be up. She'll probably want a honeymoon longer than five days.
#3. WWE has had many quick swaps lately
One bad trend WWE has utilized a lot lately is quick title changes. John Cena beat Dominik Mysterio and then lost the Intercontinental title back to Dirty Dom two weeks later. The same happened with Tatum Paxley and Jacy Jayne.
The United States title has changed hands six times in 2025, and twice since the end of August. Most reigns have been under 70 days.
At least one championship will change hands on RAW, and Lynch regaining hers seems like a strong possibility. Even the World Heavyweight title changed hands four times before Seth Rollins' injury.
#2. An AJ Lee return angle leading to WrestleMania
Becky Lynch and AJ Lee haven't had that huge one-on-one showdown ever since Lee came back to WWE for Wrestlepalooza in September. She's faced The Man in tag team action and inside WarGames.
Lee distracted Lynch long enough for Dupri to take advantage and get the upset win. Since officials haven't had the two sides square off yet, it seems like a match for WrestleMania 42 could be set up with Big Time Becks getting her title back.
Dupri's win was nice for what it was, but she's only faced familiar foe Ivy Nile and Lynch as champion. By losing the title, bookers can begin planning for a blockbuster clash between Lynch and Lee in April.
#1. Beating Becky Lynch twice isn't believable
The narrative of Lynch taking Maxxine Dupri lightly was a decent shock since no one believed Dupri could beat The Man. The thrill has worn off a little, so her time as a champion could come to an end on next week's RAW.
The story of winning was nice while it lasted, giving Dupri some credibility as an actual WWE star as opposed to a trainee. The issue is that Dupri isn't seasoned enough to be a long-time champion.
Lyra Valkyria had a run as NXT Women's Champion under her belt. Bayley is a multi-time titleholder in WWE.
Her simple resume as a wrestler is one of the shortest, especially since names like Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, and even Kairi Sane won gold in NXT.
