Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green cleared the air with what happened between him and coach Steve Kerr. During the Warriors' game against the Orlando Magic on Dec. 22, things were heated between Green and Kerr. It led to a point where the four-time All-Star left the bench and headed to the locker room.
While Green did not return to the game, the Warriors still had a 120-97 win. The player and coach discussed the matter after the game, but they did not provide specifics. They also confirmed that they talked to each other after the contest and apologized.
On Monday's episode of "The Draymond Green Show," the four-time champion broke down what happened.

“I think the best thing to do for human beings is to remove yourself from the heated situation… Contrary to popular talking heads, it was the right thing to do.Green reiterated that he did not walk away from the team but removed himself from the heated altercation.
“I didn’t walk away, I said, ‘Coach, take me out.’ And he said, ‘Great.’ I did not storm off,” he added. “We agreed in the moment… Everybody who was a part of that moment, coaching staff, players, organizationally, thinks it was the right thing to do.”Green only played for 17 minutes that night and finished with nine points, seven rebounds and two assists. For the Warriors' Christmas Day game against the Dallas Mavericks, things went well, and the 6-foot-6 forward suited up.
Draymond Green agrees with Steve Kerr's comments about the Warriors' dynasty fading
Before the Golden State Warriors' Christmas Day win over the Dallas Mavericks, Steve Kerr's comments about the franchise caught the fans' attention. Kerr recognized that the team is slowly experiencing their own mortality. The former Chicago Bulls guard said that the Warriors are a "fading dynasty."
On Draymond Green's recent podcast episode, he agreed with what the coach said. Green said that it's the reality that everyone has to face, and that no dynasty has lasted forever.
The Warriors' leader, Steph Curry, is playing in his 17th year in the NBA. Green has been around the league for 14 seasons. The star forward also pointed out that Bob Myers, the one who assembled Golden State's dynasty, isn't with them anymore.
“He’s not throwing salt, he’s not putting the team down, it’s true,” Green said.But Draymond Green emphasized that the team's goal is to try to prolong their reign. Although they aren't the championship team that many remember, the Warriors want to keep on putting up a fight.
